Take care of your hands while adding a layer of protection against germs. Protect is a homemade essential oil-based hand-sanitizer that comes in a blue, genuine glass bottle with a unique ball-bearing applicator.
Protect is made from tea-tree, lemongrass and peppermint essential oils diluted (3%) in fractionated coconut oil. Tea tree, lemongrass, and peppermint are recognised to have strong anti-microbial properties, the coconut oil will moisturize your skin without leaving a residue and the combination of the essential oils has an amazing scent. We’ve used a real glass bottle, with blue pigment to make Protect easy to carry and the steel ball-bearing roll-on head makes it easy to apply. Simply apply to the back of both hands, screw back on the lid, and rub your hands together.
Despite we love using this we want to be very clear: this hand sanitizer is not a substitute for proper hand washing (official CDC video ). We wash our hands for 20 seconds, then use Protect as an extra action, and aside from the natural antiviral/antibacterial ingredients, this essential oil blend also helps ease dry and chapped skin (especially after all that hand washing! ;)).
While the oils we use contain commonly accepted natural antiviral/antibacterial ingredients, they have not been lab-tested to determine its efficacy against viruses such as the COVID-19. If you have doubts, please check with a health care professional before using this or any home remedy on you or your family.
We strongly recommend that you first try our blends on a small patch of skin (your forearm for example) to test for any reactions or allergies - although all natural, some oils will cause a reaction in some small percentage of people, so to be safe not sorry please test first!
